Remedia Austria User Data Leak Exposes 134,602 Records
By InsecureWeb Team
This report reflects observations of dark web activity. InsecureWeb makes no representations regarding the accuracy of this data.

Data Breach Overview
In August 2026, a database allegedly belonging to Austrian homeopathic-products company Remedia was published on the cybercrime forum DarkForums.
The post was shared by the forum user “dreamss” and advertised approximately 130,000 records. The accompanying database details list a more precise total of 134,602 records.
According to the forum post, the exposed database is associated with remedia.at. Independent reporting has since also described 134,602 Remedia records appearing on underground platforms.
Where Was the Data Found?
The database was advertised on DarkForums in August 2026, with the poster also referencing a Telegram channel.
The exposed fields shown in the leak include:
- User IDs
- Email addresses
- Password data
- Address-related IDs
- User-type IDs
- Dates of birth
The provided sample appears to contain bcrypt-style password hashes rather than plaintext passwords. Even hashed passwords may present a risk if users chose weak or reused credentials.
External reports additionally state that email addresses, passwords, postal-address information, and birth dates were included among the leaked records.
Company Data Breach History
A quick search did not identify a clearly dated, independently confirmed separate earlier Remedia breach.
However, Remedia currently publishes an official security notice titled “Minor Data Leak.” The company states that a backup of its data had temporarily been stored on an unsecured server. Remedia characterized the risk as low and said its password-security standards were up to date. The available page does not provide a visible publication date, so it is unclear whether the notice relates specifically to this August 2026 incident or to an earlier event.
Impact and Risks
The combination of email addresses, password hashes, birth dates, and account-related identifiers could be useful to attackers for targeted phishing and social-engineering campaigns.
If password hashes are successfully cracked, reused credentials could also lead to credential-stuffing attempts against unrelated services. Personal information such as dates of birth may further help criminals make fraudulent messages appear more convincing.
Recommendations for Users
Affected or potentially affected Remedia customers should change their Remedia password, particularly if it has been reused elsewhere. Any other account using the same or a similar password should also be updated.
Users should enable two-factor authentication wherever available, use unique passwords for every service, remain cautious of emails or messages claiming to be from Remedia, and monitor important accounts for unexpected login attempts or other suspicious activity.
