Data Breach Summary

On April 16, 2023, InsecureWeb detected a data breach of Adultfriendfinder.com, an online dating website that focuses on sexual encounters and casual relationships. The breach was posted on the Telegram channel #@leakdatabreaches and compromised 77.5 MB of data, including user email addresses, usernames, passwords, and other personal information.

Where and How?

InsecureWeb’s team of experts traced the security breach to #@leakdatabreaches, a notorious Telegram channel that posts data breaches and sells compromised information to the highest bidder. The breach occurred due to a vulnerability in Adultfriendfinder.com’s security system, which allowed the hackers to gain access to the user database.
